Reptilia
From Dinopedia
Reptiles (Laurenti, 1768) are a class of animals descended from reptilomorphian amphibians. The first reptiles were lizard-like, and evolved in the Carboniferous period. Reptiles are usually cold-blooded, with the exception of dinosaurs. Arguably the oldest known reptile, is Westlothiana Lizziae. This controversial creature, lived some 350 million years ago. What are irrefutable and generally accepted as the oldest reptiles, are those such as Petrolacosaurus, which lived 300 million years ago.
